Being a 20-something woman can be a roller coaster, and sometimes the only way to make yourself feel better is to treat yourself to a relaxing experience, a fantastic meal, or a sweet treat. We tend to treat ourselves way too much 😂 but if you or a friend need a little pick me up this week, check out some of our favorites,
1. Mani Pedis on a Porch
Talk about the cutest nail salon you’ve ever stepped into. At Southern Swings Nail Bar & Spa you’ll be greeted with mimosas or champagne (sometimes they even have daiquiris for you to sip on while you get pampered). Although we had our first pedi here on an indoor swing, we can’t wait to go back for a springtime porch mani pedi!
2. A Pair of Fabulous Lashes
Imagine waking up every day and not having to put on makeup because your lashes make you look extra fab. These extensions last between 2-4 weeks, depending how you take care of them and trust us, you’ll become addicted. Although the process is a bit lenghty (about 2.5 hours initially), you’ll be in good hands with our girl Veronica at Polite Society.
3. Netflix and Cheesecake
Somedays, you may need to treat yo’self (or a friend) to a night in with chick flicks, wine and a sweet treat. We recently discovered Cotton Blues Cheesecake and OMG. They’re originally from Hattiesburg, MS, but they just started selling them at Rouses all over Louisiana. Y’all, trust us, you’ll want to finish it all in one sitting. Calories don’t count on the weekends, right?
4. A Members Only Club
For the boujie babe, treat yo’self to a membership at the Foundation Room at the House of Blues. From Gospel Brunch tickets to complimentary access to events and exclusive shows, you’ll feel like a total celeb at the Foundation Room. Plus, you can bring friends with your membership. For more info on this chic AF spot visit their site.
5. Get Some Zen In Your Life
When life gets hard, there’s nothing like treating yourself to a yoga class. Not only will you leave with a clear mind, but you’ll also burn calories while you’re at it. Some of our favorite places to get our yoga on: Reyn Studios, The Church of Yoga and Higher Power.
6. A Weekend Getaway
This one obviously takes a bit more planning, and a lot more money. But for the planner, or the girl that loves to save up for big experiences, check out some of our most recent travels for inspiration.
Have a wonderful rest of your week, y’all! And never forget the motto:
