In New Orleans, all of our celebrations revolve around food and booze. From your family’s seafood boil, to the most fabulous of food festivals, we’re all about good eats and good drinks.
One of New Orleans’ most iconic celebrations of food and drinks is of course, Emeril Lagasse Foundation’s Boudin, Bourbon & Beer.
For 6 years, Emeril Lagasse with Honorary Co-Chairs Donald Link, Stephen Stryjewski, John Currence & over 60 of the country’s top chefs have shown their love of the pig with artisan sausages, bold brews, fabulous bourbon cocktails and fantastic music lineups!
Boudin, Bourbon & Beer, or BBB as we like to call it, is not one to be missed. We’re here to tell you why,
#1 – The Boudin. All The Boudin.
As true Nola Babes, we love to indulge in Boudin when we can. Especially, the fantastic twists on Boudin served at Emeril Lagasse Foundation’s BBB. Your ticket gets you ALL THE BOUDIN, you heard that right. Prepare to eat the most fantastic takes on boudin from the best chefs across the country. Every year, BBB includes an amazing musical line up. This year, the Emeril Lagasse Foundation has announced that Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Anderson East, Banditos and Lost Bayou Ramblers will be taking the stage.
#5 – Get To Know Emerging Chefs
Don’t miss Emeril’s alumnus Chef Will Avelar’s, the Chef de Cuisine of Meril, BBB debut.
Meril is Emeril Lagasse’s latest concept and fourth restaurant in New Orleans.
#6 – Hang Out With Nola’s Finest
Eat and mingle with some of New Orleans’ most iconic chefs, like Chef Frank Brigtsen who is coming back to the BBB Scene this year.
Chef Frank Brigtsen and his wife Marna are the owners of Brigtsen’s Restaurant, in the Riverbend neighborhood of Uptown New Orleans. Chef Frank has been named one of the Top Ten New Chefs in America by FOOD&WINE magazine (1988) and America’s Best Chef: Southeast by the James Beard Foundation Awards (1998). He has also been named Chef of the Year by New Orleans magazine and Restaurateur of the Year by the Louisiana Restaurant Association – N.O. Chapter.
He is also, our favorite New Orleanian EVER.
We can’t wait to try what he has in store for us.
#7 – Eat Good While Doing Good
All proceeds from Boudin, Bourbon & Beer benefit Emeril Lagasse Foundation. Founded in 2002 by Chef Emeril Lagasse and his wife Alden, the Foundation’s mission is to create opportunities to inspire, mentor and enable youth to reach their full potential through culinary, nutrition and arts education with a focus on life skills development. Last year’s fundraising weekend raised $3 million for children’s charities.
There are in fact a million reasons why you shouldn’t miss Boudin, Bourbon & Beer, but hopefully our top 7 have already convinced you to get your tickets for this year.
