Royal Street used to be the home of a famous curio shop in the late 1800’s. A curio shop was a place where curiosities and novelties from all over the world could be bought for just a few dollars. The shop no longer exists today, but something even more exciting has opened up on the 300th block of Royal Street: Curio, an eclectic bistro with fascinating flavors.
Last week, we planned a girls night out to go eat and drink at this new French Quarter restaurant. Here’s what we ate and drank and this chic and cozy hotspot,
The Cocktails
Start off the night with a tasty cocktail; we loved sitting at the gorgeous marble bar while we waited for everyone to arrive. Our two favorite cocktails were 4th Ward (Bombay Sapphire Gin, Curacao, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Blackberries) and the Cocktail Coronado (Patron Silver, Bayleaf Peppercorn Syrup, Lemon Juice, Topped with Ginger Beer).
The Starters
We started out this night of #treatingourselves with a few appetizers, and an amouse-bouche from Chef Hayley Vanvleet (formerly sous chef at Kingfish).

The Entrées
#BabesTip: Get different entrées and share them with the group, that way you can sample more of the menu at Curio (all of our main courses were amazing).

Leave Room For Dessert
You cannot go to Curio with your babes and not try the S’more Brownie Pie with Graham cracker ice cream and toasted marshmallow. They toast up the marshmallow right at your table, it’s to die for and the perfect size to share #DoItForTheInsta.
Get you a resy at Curio next time you’re planning a fun #GNO or date night. And, when the temperature finally goes down, ask for a table on their balcony to have the perfect French Quarter sounds and vibes as background music for your dinner.
XOXO
Curio is open for Lunch and Dinner from Monday through Sunday, and Brunch Saturday and Sunday. PS: We hear the Happy Hour is amazing. For more info + book your reservation visit curionola.com
