Some are part of the Democratic Party, some the Republican party, but we consider ourselves part of the Pizza Party.
We would never turn down any pizza party, and especially not one at recent James Beard award winner Alon Shaya’s Pizza domenica. When the babes were invited to attend a pizza party on Tuesday, we cleared our schedules.
We were excited to hear that Pizza domenica recently brought lunch back, and introduced lots of new menu items and cocktails for the spring.
Here’s what delighted our tastebuds on Tuesday:
We started with a glass of refreshing white sangria on the warm spring day.
THE CAULIFLOWER STEAK
We thought nothing could ever outdo Domenica’s whole roasted cauliflower, but this may have proved us wrong. Topped with lemon chili butter, toasted pine nuts and chimichurri; and served with whipped feta dip, this dish is bursting with flavor.
We couldn’t decide on one pie so we made our own half-and-half with half Margherita, and half smoked chicken.
The Smoked Chicken topped with pesto, goat cheese, zucchini, squash and arugula was our favorite.

No matter how full we are, we can never deny our sweet tooth! The Warm Banana Pudding and Whipped Chocolate Ganache were just what we needed to finish up a divine meal.
To our surprise, we were honored to meet Chef Alon Shaya himself!
