Where to Drink Right Now: NOLA’s Hottest Happy Hours

For the typical New Orleans babe, happy hour may as well be an official part of the standard work week. But even though NOLA boasts a kick ass restaurant and bar scene, we always find ourselves asking the same question every single week: “Where should we go?”

So to clear up that issue, we’ve sifted through the influx of new happy hours to make it easy for you and your post-work booze krewe. Whether you’re a Thursday happy hour fiend or a “gonna torpedo my whole week on a Monday” kinda gal, we’ve compiled the best happy hours to hit while they’re hot.

Emeril’s Delmonico

1300 St Charles Ave

Expanding its ever-popular summer happy hour to YEAR ROUND, Delmonico guests can enjoy $0.99 charbroiled oysters and $5 small plates, along with half price wines by the glass and select bottles. Half price specialty and well cocktails like the Sazerac, Moscow Mule and Hurricane Punch, among others.

Maypop

611 O’Keefe Ave

The CBD’s newest stunner recently launched a happy hour serving up select wines, beers and Maypop punch. Plus a few bites like spicy Vindaloo hot wings that will set your mouth on fire (in a good way). Perfect for that post-work cocktail hour with your CBD babes, get your drank + snack on Monday-Friday from 4-6pm.

Meril

424 Girod St

If you haven’t checked out Meril‘s happy hour yet, RUN, don’t walk to get in on some of the best deals in the Warehouse District. $5 well drinks, $5 select wines by the glass and $5 flatbreads are all part of Meril’s daily happy hour from 4–6pm. Yes, daily. While you’re at it, grab a go cup from the bar and join in the #MerilCupChallenge fun.

Monkeyboard

The Troubadour, 1111 Gravier St

Nola’s hottest rooftop bar serves up a stellar happy hour every day from 5-7. Live DJ included. Specials change daily, but check out their Facebook or Insta page for details.

We miss you! Monkey Board will reopen Monday evening at 5pm!

Effervescence

1036 N Rampart St

Champagne flights, anyone? Nola’s first-ever champagne bar (HALLELU) is offering one heck of a happy hour where you can get your bubbles on from opening hour until 7 p.m. on weekdays. I have a feeling we’ll be here frequently.

Lula Restaurant & Distillery

1532 St Charles Ave

St. Charles’ newest restaurant and in-house distillery, Lula’s gorgeous patio is a prime spot for an after-work cocktail while watching the streetcars sputter by. $6 cocktails with house-made spirits 4-6 p.m. DAILY.

Feelin' Dirty?? Join us on our patio for Happy Hour from 4-6. $6.00 Dirty Martinis and all other cocktails made with Lula spirits.

Reverse Happy Hours:

Are reverse happy hours the newest trend? Good God I hope so. If you’re a busy boss babe who can never seem to get out of the office in time for the usual 4-6 deals, these picks are sure to fix that problem.

Johnny Sanchez

930 Poydras St

Johnny Sanchez‘ regular Taco Tuesday is pretty awesome, with $2 tacos and all, but on Thursdays, Club Sanchez turns up with late night happy hour from 9pm-midnight. A live DJ keeps the vibe going while the bartenders keep the margs flowing.

The Lounge at the Troubador

1111 Gravier St

Grab your fellow #Troubies because from 9-11pm on weekdays, the Troubadour’s second floor lounge hosts live music acts with a great late night happy hour! Free music, punch bowl specials, and 25% off beer and wine too.

Trinity Restaurant

1117 Decatur

Trinity unveiled a new cocktail menu recently that had us pretty damn excited. And with an evening happy hour, which runs Thursday through Saturdays until close, this gorgeous French Quarter bar needs to get put at the top of your late-night game.

Nola excuse #581: survived a tornado, so we drink. @babesandbeignets
